Honey Wheat Bread

This is a dense, slightly sweet bread with a high proportion of whole-wheat flour. It's great for sandwiches.

for 1-1/2 lbs loaf.

milk 3/4 cup

water 6 tbsp

butter 3 tbsp

honey 3 tbsp

sugar 1-1/2 tbsp

salt 1 tsp

whole-wheat flour 2-1/4 cups

bread flour 3/4 cup

yeast(bread machine) 1 tbsp


Put ingredients in bread machine in order suggested by your bread machine instructions. Set for whole-wheat bread, medium crust. Press start.



Caraway-Rye bread 2lb loaf

Milk 2 tbsp

Water 1-1/2 cups = 2 tbsp

Butter (softened) 4 tsp

Bread flour 3 cups

Rye flour 1 cup

Sugar 2tbsp

Salt 1-1/2 tsp

Caraway seed 1/2 tsp I use just a little more, I love caraway flavor.

Yeast (bread machine) 2-1/4 tsp


Put ingredients in bread machine in order suggested by your bread machine instructions. Set for white bread, medium crust. Press start.
