Our pony Twister's vet at Ohio State University just received an award for his research on laminitis! He is the greatest! I guess all those big bills for saving an 18-year-old laminitic pony have been worth it! haha

Yah, Dr. Belknap is SO cool. Caroline says he reminds her of Hugh Laurie, "House" on the tv show. And he just LOFFS Twister. Even if we don't have an appointment, and we're just there for his monthly, fancy shoeing.... Dr. Belknap comes running out to visit him! ... and so do all the vet students!

kaidensmom: Any stories or experience with a horse with strangles that is SOB? Gelding is currently hospitalized. On Penicillin and wasn't getting better so the vet just started horse on IV doses of DMSO. The abcesses are pharyngeal. Mar 13, 2017 22:41:03 GMT -5
