I am currently reading a book called Merryland its a diary of 2 years on a racing farm. Most parts are pretty interesting and there are some neat photos.

I do need to buy that book! I both worked and lived and boarded my horses on that farm (though not at the same time!) so it is very near and dear to me. I am very happy the Pons family purchased it and brought it back to life! Although my farrier is not too happy about being called a glorified shoe-shine boy (or something like that!!) in the book.

Thanks Goalie but that is one I want to purchase for my library. All the tack stores around here carry it so I just need to actually go get one!
Now when you read it, picture me galloping on that training track-cause I did! ;D The farm sits in a valley and it was so cool to gallop on foggy mornings when you could hardly see the track in front of you!
