RIP Eight Belles - you showed great heart in facing the boys and running second.
Big Brown was IMPRESSIVE! Hope he can get the Triple Crown.

I am in LOVE with Big Brown!! What a kick ass horse... He really showed (at least it looked like it on TV) a good temperament when he came out into the saddling paddock and just took it all in... didn't wig out even though he has been very lightly raced... and omg- who didn't cry at the Kent D. story?! I hope BB can get the Triple Crown! WOW that would be awesome

I have a feeling this is going to be the year for a triple crown winner. Bog Brown hardly broke a sweat after the race! Hey Diane, remember a horse we used to have Named "Hassledonthe border?" He has the same sire as Big Brown...."Boundary." I haven't seen many by this stud but I love him so this was exciting to hear!

Yes, Jen I remember Hassledonthe border... I loved his name.. kewl about having the same sire... Has anyone read where PETA wants the jock suspended because he " had to have felt something" before the filly went down? ?? I heard they were around our track . asking questions about what trainers do with horses they dont want to race anymore, seems they got on to the backside posing as buyers looking for horses .. THEN they started with simple questions posing them to trainers before asking if they sent horses to the killers ....

I think it may be a Triple Crown year too...I didn't believe all the hype, but he sure looked like he had a lot left even after coming from PP 20!! And I hate to say it, but I think we're all in trouble- all horse sports- PR wise after the last few catastrophies. PETA will be having a field day since there were problems at Rolex and the Oaks/Derby. In the next 5 weeks we have 2 major, heavily televised races and in the fall we have the Olympics. Hopefully, things will go well from here on out and this will die down a little......

Can BB finish the triple crown with his feet though? I've heard he's got bad cracks and wears glue on shoes.
