This will be interesting to see. I started Riley on the Omega Horseshine last summer for his scratches. He gets 1 heaping cup/day. But I've also noticed that he warms up more easily with less "giraffe" posing and tightness in the back. Nothing else has changed, so I attribute it to the omegas.

He seems to be moving a little bit smoother, and of course all 3 of them have just gotten done running all the way down the 8 acres pasture and then back up to the barn, with Eagle in the lead. He usually can not catch Billy. I don't seem to be hearing him creaking as much but am noy 100 % sure on that part. I plan on letting him have them for a full 2 weeks to a month before I decide anything.

Sounds good. I had been taking it for my knee, but I havn't seen any signs of improvement, then again I think I might have more of an injury rather then arthritis. This is a great expirement, I'm excited!

I am starting to take it for granted that he has to have tasted them at least once by now and just wants his mash so much he doesn't care. Day 8 and counting.

13 days so far with Eagle being a good boy and eating the gelcaps right along with his grain. I think it is helping him as I am not hearing him creak as he moves and he is definitely moving around a lot faster than before. I really think I am seeing a big difference in him.

That's good to know, something to file away for when our guys get a little older and slower.

I think we could call it a success for the first 2 weeks. I am going to keep Eagle on it for a full month. I'll start Billy tomorrow.

Eagle is still moving great. I'm happy with him. Now as for Mr. Billy, sigh....he must have bit down on one right away as he did a lot of spitting, and then refused to eat any of his mash. Billy loves his mash so I know he had to have tasted one of the fish oil gelcaps. so none for Billy.

Hey Goalie, I was at Sam's club the other day, and noticed that they had big bottles of 150 of the fish oil capsules for like $12...I'm not sure if that's a better deal than what you're paying now? I just thought I'd pass it along!

Killi was that way with ulcer meds in pill form. Once he bit one he wouldn't touch it. If you're making mash, how about a few soft peppermint candies in the mash to mask the taste?
