Are you comfortable in walking Sandra? That seems to help me.

Have you talked to your doctor about what he/she might suggest in ways to alleviate the pain? My aunt has some disc issues and regularly sees a chiropractor, which seems to help her out with her pain. The spine is so tricky, that I wouldn't feel comfortable telling you any exercise w/o knowing more details.

Sandra-do you have a YMCA near you? Could you swim or do water aerobics classes? Water activities would be low impact but very beneficial. I think that even walking to a person with severe back problems can be high impact.
