I started running again about a month ago after getting side-tracked over the holidays and putting back on the 4# I had lost. I have 2# off ( in a month) and 18-23 to go before my wedding in September.
Today I discovered mapmyrun.com. It's awesome. You can map runs from anywhere and see the distance and elevations for your run. It will even calculate calories burned based on the run, your weight, and your time. It's a training log to and you can tell it which shoes you ran each run in and it will keep track of the miles on your shoes so you know when to get new ones (I alternate two pairs so this will be really helpful). I'm pretty excited. Now I can keep track of calories burned, distances run and when to replace shoes.

So techie! But...you mean...you have to have a gadget tell you when to replace your shoes? I thought that's what advertising was for!! LOL!
Seriously, congratulations on your success so far and good luck with the pre-wedding plan.

Actually I usually let my knees tell me when to replace my shoes but I recently decided that it's probably not the best idea to wait until I'm experiencing pain. It seems like pain might mean I'm doing damage.
