This is so embarassing, but...you can see Steve, he's standing right next to me, the other 2 were my trainers. I did the All Around, and won almost everything, thank to Tom, my very fancy QH. I had just started him over fences, and he was a 9+ mover, but I lost him in my divorce I just got a belt buckel from AQHA Achievement Award. Trust me, I can't ride western, but he made it easy ;D You shoulda seen me in Showmanship, I really stunk, I hated it, but very amusing ;D I never got used to the outfits, although I L-O-F-F-E-D the slick shiny leather chaps, very cool! Isn't Steve a cutie?!

I have to agree, I like the leather chaps too! I mean, when else can you wear them and feel normal?

Here's one more, this one at Denver's National Western Stock Show. It was cool, I actually won more then I paid out in entry fees. Anyway, I really miss Tom, he was an awesome horse. Don't laugh too hard ;D

He looks sweet, so does Steve. ;D
That's rotten of your ex to force you to lose your horse. Don't they know how much these critters mean to us?

Did you ride with that big a loop in your reins too? Too bad you lost your horse in a divorce.

....you both look great...Ive had a couple of those push button western horses that could make the worst of any riders look great in the ring. Tom sure is a good looking horse, love his leg markings, that really stinks u lost to that....

Do you know that is the ONLY picture of Steve I have? He's camera shy, the big loser ;D
You have no idea how silly I felt in western clothes! But I really like the chaps ;D I was bored in the Hunter/Jumpers and always wanted to try quarter horses, so I saved up and got him. He only knew western pleasure, and with the help of my awesome trainers, he learned the rest. Man, he was a gorgeous mover! My one trainer thought I was crazy to jump, but he did Working Cow Horse and reining. Now THAT"S insane.
Thanks for all the compliments on Tom, and Steve ;D I think he's a cutie. Guess I'll keep him around a while, what do you think?

Gosh, Michelle - you look ALL of 16!! And you've been married?? (sigh, another child bride:o) Great pictures of you and horse!! Tom is gorgeous - I WANT one of those finished show horses, puhleeeeze!! And, ooh la la - Stevie boy is quite pleasing to the eye (are you SURE he can't come to LV? ) I had to laugh about you saying you're uncomfortable in western clothes. I felt the same way when I started riding dressage! Those breeches n paddock boots n helmets - I felt like a hoity toity English person (kinda like ClaireLV ;D). Of course, I don't exactly run around in western clothes, either - in my mind's eye I rather consider myself a cosmopolitan cowgirl. In actuality, I more closely resemble a dude ranch bum.
