Tabbouleh! Does the package have a recipe or directions? It's so good. Lots of chopped parsley, lemon juice, cucumbers, chick peas, etc. etc. SO GOOD! There are lots of ways to make it. Here's a basic, easy recipe. www.cooks.com/rec/doc/0,1618,153167-249193,00.html

Yum, I love bulghur! I don't have any vegan recipes, but here's one:
In the crock pot, put 1 c. bulghur, 1/4 c. lemon juice, 1 3/4 c. water, salt, pepper, 4-6 chicken breasts or 1 whole chicken (about 4 lbs).
Cook according to how you would cook the chicken in a crock pot.
I use it interchangeably with rice. The water:bulghur ratio is 2:1.

I use bulgur like I would use rice, too, as a side dish or in salads or taboulé. Unfortunately I seem to be the only one in my family who likes it!

Thanks, ladies, I knew I could depend on you for this! ;D I'll try these out and let you know how they went!
Tabbouleh....what is that? How do you eat it, as a dip or something?

Tabbouleh is a salad. I think of it more as a summer food, but you are out there where it's always summer, so go for it! Nice with grilled chicken, for sure.

But Niaru, that recipe is for Couscous, even though they call it Taboule. Couscous is a much different flavor and texture, right? (I like it, too, by the way!)

Yes, as far as I know taboulé is typically made with couscous, but you could easily use bulgur instead.
My mom stuffs raw tomatoes with cooked bulgur mixed with tuna, olives and vinaigrette. It's a great summer dish.
