The sad thing about this... one thing they mentioned, it could just be the way people are cooking them. Pot pies take a long time to cook, and in today's world people are impatient. If you cook chicken with salmonella long enough it's supposed to kill the bacteria. So this is not from the manufacturer standpoint, but the buyers possibly.

Exactly, Gem. You know, when they have a confirmed bacterial outbreak in the bagged salads our salad mix sales can quadruple in one week. We are a Certified Organic farm and market a good bit of produce at Farmer's Market. People not affiliated with the market are astounded to hear that we are benefitting from the national bacterial scares. Know Your Farmer. They know your food.
