you used to be able to get them in stainless, i suspect you still can if you go higher end. are you concerned about the possiblity of noxious entities with high heat and teflon? or do you get annoyed with how easily it scratches? as the weather turns colder, i'm all about the e-skillet and the crock pot.
mta: epinions.com has a lot of reviews on brands, and it looks as if you can get a rival or a presto or farberware in all stainless for a fair price....

I have a couple. My Kitchen Aide Mixer!!! Love the thing!! I let my mom borrow it and warned her that if it didnt come home the way I let her borrow it she would be buying me another. Yes, I love it that much..... I just started letting my kids use it to do cake mixes. Next would be my dishwasher!! It is sick right now but I love it very much....

Somewhere in my kitchen cabinets I have a round Belgian Waffle cooker. I have succumbed to Aunt Jemima's now, though. When I was a youngster my Mom had one of those heavy, four waffle-maker irons. That thought brings back old memories of yore.
I , also have somewhere in those cabinets an old electric skillet, but I far prefer my 5 qt slow cooker. I have a nearly new blender that doesn't get used much. I still use my portable hand mixer. We could never survive without our percolator coffee pot!!
I have a dishwasher, but with our being on hard well water it gets overcome with lime scale deposits. I have to Lime-Away it very often to use it. The kitchen sink does a good enough job for the few dishes Max and I dirty.

yeah, i have a cuisinart chrome toaster that rocks the free world. it was not very expensive, i think that i bought it at Kohl's or similar...i've had it at least 7 years, with constant use. it will toast bagels as well as very thin breads, and does a nice, even job. the crumbs are easy to remove as well.
of course, the best toaster we have is in the lake house in upper WI. dang thing is over 50 years old (replete with cloth cord) and is amazing. we call it the "death toaster"

Coffee pot, cutting board and wooden spoons. I'm a dinosaur, plus I have a bad history with electric mixers. Why do mine always catch fire? I do have a cuisinart that I've been using since 1978. Now that's durable.

Wow. I've never even HEARD of half this stuff. I have a coffee pot.
What's a foreman grill? What's a serrated tomato knife?
What's a cuisanart? I never thought a mixer would help that much. Yeesh.....I'm going to have to check these things out!

I love my pizazz. The frozen pizzas best friend. Much better than from the oven.

I get my tomatoes out of my garden Brian and then turn them into serrated tomatoes.
Lynne, the George Foreman grill is a countertop little appliance that allows you to grill foods indoors. yum, yum.
