Also which waffle iron do you use? The one we have is a walmart $12 one and makes so-so waffles. My parent used to have one when I was a kid that made the best waffles. I love waffle

My food processor and My Kitchen Aid mixer. I love love love my mixer! I can make stuff now and get out more ingredients, or begin the next step while it's mixing away. One of the brownie recipes ( yeah I know it's a healty board...sigh) requires 10 min of mixing!
I alos love the Foreman grill in the winter!

I love the Cuisinart and this isn't an appliance, but I love a real serrated tomato knife.
We have a waffle iron from one of the department stores. It was probably around $25.00. It's not like the one my grandmother used to use for waffles. That thing must've weighted 22 lbs. This is much lighter. The waffles are good.

um, my coffee maker is my most favorite appliance. followed by my dishwasher. however, if we are talking food prep, i do love my crockpot.
one thing i do covet is an electric skillet. my mom makes a killer swiss steak in the one she got for a wedding gift in 1968. that and the waffle iron are going strong...
anybody have an electric skillet? what brand? i'm stalking them currently, and will eventually make a purchase.
brooks, i'm so with you on waffle irons. unless you go the Williams Sonoma route, they just don't heat up like the old school ones, to make for crisp outside, chewy inside.
OH - and ps -- big square waffles or little square waffles??? enquiring minds want to know...

Big square ones of course I think the irons need to be really heavy and the cheap ones aren't. I love my E Skillet. It was very expensive but was worth every single penny. It's the 12" size and is made by Rival. It's glass top is great. And nothing sticks to it I too love my Bread machine, it's a Cuisinart I got from W&S. My first machine started to leak at the bottom of the pan.

I love my serrated tomato knife too! Close second, the ceramic knife.
Pressure cooker! We use it a lot in the winter.
Coffee maker and electric kettle.
And last but not least...because I've lived without one for so long...the dishwasher!

My coffee maker and my hand mixer. If either of them ever broke, I'd be so depressed.

Ohhhh, an electric skillet! I love those things. Are they all non-stick? I would like a non-teflon brand.
