Caroline has to do a book report and presentation on a biography of some sort, and wants to do a horse-related one of course, so she can dress up as the subject of the book... Does anyone know of biographies of famous horsewomen, past or present is fine...

There was a book written about Julie Krone, can't remember the name but I'll see if I can find it. I think Caroline would look great dressed up like her!

There's a few books about her, I read "Riding for my Life" that I thought was a pretty good read.

Thanks guys! Guess what Claire, Caroline's riding instructor actually HAD a copy of Pippa Funnel's autobiography and lent it to us... it's a bit "advanced" for Caroline but has a great beginning where she describes being 14 and having her first "real" horse... should be good!

kaidensmom: Any stories or experience with a horse with strangles that is SOB? Gelding is currently hospitalized. On Penicillin and wasn't getting better so the vet just started horse on IV doses of DMSO. The abcesses are pharyngeal. Mar 13, 2017 22:41:03 GMT -5
