niaru, I've not read his "World Without End" or "Pillars of the Earth". I do, however, have his "The Hammer of Eden". It was a "sitting on the edge of my chair" read. My copy is paperback and if you'd like to read it I'd send it to you. Just let me know or it may just show-up in your mailbox.

Nope, you don't need to send anything in return. I'll get the book boxed up and send it to you.

I haven't read it. I do have Pillars of Earth though and ....Opes! Never mind. I was thinking of Eands of the Earth and Balkan Ghosts. Completely different author and genre and I am a moron! Thanks for the suggestion of books though

Sam, you have all of those Ken Follet books!! I just saw a list of current best sellers and his new one is in the top ten. If I didn't already have a ton of reading to catch-up on I'd take you up on a couple or so of his books. If you still have any left by say Spring-time I'll let you know. I sure enjoyed his "Hammer of Eden" and I think niaru has also.

ok...i finished it- it was very good, but really similar to Pillars... like almost the same storyline with different struggles... I am a little disappointed because it was so similar But it was still really good, and I am happy I bought it... and how is it that the Earl of Shiring is always an ashat?!
