I'm reading this right now. It is a classic that I've never read before and I'm finding the way the author tells the story from the perspective of several different main characters really interesting. I'm a few chapters in and the way he is setting the stage and creating a palpable sense of menace is chilling!

Yes. They kept referring to it in The Thirteenth Tale as a great classic along with Jane Eyre and others. I'd never read it so I thought I'd try it. I'm enjoying it so far.

I like that book. Like Dickens, but a few ounces lighter (literally and figuratively! LOL!)

Ack - I fixed the title. I don't know where I got Lady instead of Woman. My brain is frying in the heat!

I've finished Order of the Phoenix and have the next one to read. My daughter wants me to read them so I can speak intelligently on such weighty matters such as whether Harry should be with Cho, etc.

Perhaps you were thinking of 'The Lady in Red'? Just as much a classic, in its own way .. ;D I KNEW what you meant!
