I don't DARE go on the 'spoilers' thread, JA!
I was reading it on the Tube, yesterday, quite late, coming out of London. BEEG mistake, we passed through Tottenham Court Road and Charing Cross stations. (I thought - 'Oh DAMN! Brooks will want to come here - and here -)
One stop before Tottenham Court Road, a young man got on, happened to sit down opposite me and opened his book. I saw his eyes flick over my book - I looked at his ... Our eyes met and we both burst out laughing. We had both removed the dust covers, but the big black book was unmistakeable. He only stayed one stop - and got out at Tottenham Court Road... We waved books at each other as he left ...
Don't think he was allied to You-know-Who, Brooks!

I'm even later than you Bara! I'm listening to the 5th book on tape. At least I think it is the 5th one. It is the one they just released the movie about. I read the first three books aloud to my kids, but then sort of lost interest a bit. But I enjoyed the movie and was curious to read about "all the important bits" that my daughter assures me were left out of the movie.

I knew it. I BLOODY knew it. Last night, I knew it. As we trundled through Tottenham Court Road, as I was reading HP, I thought - 'She'll want to ride down Tottenham Court Road and stop at a 'Greasy Spoon' cafe ... She will! Then as the snotty electronic voice said 'The NEXT station is Charing Cross' - I thought - she will. She'll want to come here. Then, as the voice said 'Change here for King's Cross', I inwardly rebelled. I thought NO! (I may even have SAID 'No' - aloud!) I thought, no. She is NOT coming all the way from California for a tour of London Rail Stations .. Is she ....

No - we're bloody NOT! We are not spending your entire vacation on London Transport. I've done 16 years of that. It's not glamorous. Believe me. Bloody Hell, Harry! We'll do King's Cross. You can get your picture tooken at Platform 9 3/4, driving a trolley through the wall. We'll go to Picket Post Lane (which is Privet Drive in the books.) And we'll have lunch at Ollie Rowe's restaurant at King's Cross. (I suggested to him, on Tuesday, that he opens a restaurant next door called 'Platform 9 3/4' - serving, Every-flavoured food! He laughed. Damn.) We can do the 'HP London Tour' I mailed you ... Then - I'm happy to pack you off to whatever else your want to do ... I think at that point, Lynne and I will broach a bottle and giggle alot ...

Truthfully I think just the HP house and Kings Cross station, cause it looks quit pretty, will be enough HP for me. I want to see the other sites and spend time just relaxing and visiting, after all it's what holidays are for ;D
