I've started it and like it so far. I've got neighbors that sound like these people, except not as friendly. They spend every waking moment out in their garden and mow their grass down to the dirt every other day. Obsessed!

HAHAH! I so recognize the obsession.....ur....insanity.....though I don't mow the yard to that extent. I do however lay down on my belly and stare through the base of the garden with insect guide in tow....LOL!
I've only read the first three chapters but I like it so far....the writing style is easy and funny......I think (despite what they claim) tha author/narrator has a far bit more money than myself and that makes an interesting perspective into the garden thing.......but I do fancy their admiration of the old house.
Hmmm....must read. Must read.

I loved the chapter about trying to grow an organic apple. He starts off trying to be pure and use no pesticides, etc., and ends up drenching every tree with Malathion

I think I'm about 2/3 of the way finished and hope to finish it today so I can move on with my stack.....
Did you notice they tucked a few recipes in the back?

I enjoyed the book. I can't believe that anyone would bring in a designer to put in a vegetable garden and spend that much money. Now, on horses I can understand it
