Wow-- can't believe it's been over a year now since I was at the BC last year... time flies! I don't have any favorites... haven't kept up with it at all... I think that the experience (LOVED the day at the stables and watching the horses work in the early morning when the fog was still low-- wow!) of race day; mainly watching a beautiful filly (who I had visited the previous day) be put down on the track (I know it happens all the time, but I had never watched it) turned me off from the sport of racing... It's a beautiful sport, but I would much rather wait to watch the horses in their new homes with their new careers!

Some horses come into our lives and quickly go; Others stay a while, leave hoofprints on our hearts, and we are never ever the same!

kaidensmom: Any stories or experience with a horse with strangles that is SOB? Gelding is currently hospitalized. On Penicillin and wasn't getting better so the vet just started horse on IV doses of DMSO. The abcesses are pharyngeal. Mar 13, 2017 22:41:03 GMT -5
