Just heard about this. There was a really, really nice horse that ran at Mountaineer last night. He was actually a horse that Darlene knew and had been following for some time now. Last night, after his race (he was claimed) they brought him into the paddock where they were taking his bridle off and putting his halter on...and he dropped dead from a heart attack. It happened right in thye paddock, right in front of everyone. So sad. A horse we used to have named Ze Fact ran against him.
