Jen: I somehow managed to miss receiving the notification so I didn't see the race and only got the one with the results today, but please give Beaugar a hug and a treat from me. Sounds as though he had a nasty race yesterday. I hope he is okay. My VS is very quiet lately which is probably understandable given the awful weather. I have had enough winter already and I bet all the racing people feel the same way!
We have two running tmorrow, and three next week. You should get a notification today sometime. Beaugar got left in the gate. With those type of horses you can't spot them a half a stride. They are just too quick. The outcome would have been copletely different had he been on top at the break. Just how things go sometimes. And the little butthead is pretty peeved. Never seen a horse get so mad when he doesn't run well! But he does! He's not a nice horse to be around anyway, but he's a holy terror when he runs bad!
