Minerva did really well coming second. Sounds as though she ran a strong race. I watched Galvanizer and Hassle. They both looked as though they ran out of steam in the stretch because they were right in it until near the end. I bet they don't like running when it is so cold. I know I wouldn't! I see that Kerricat is on for tonight. She is such a cutie

I watched the races last night too. But I think if Hassle had gotten a clean break he would have had much more of a shot. Getting that clean break helps so much because then they use so much just trying to recover from it. You'll get 'em next time!!

Thanks! You are right Mega. Hassle nearly fell to his kness coming out of the gate. Then he was bumped hard from the 3 horse which sent him stubling into the five horse. He had to fight to stay on his feet. I didn't realize how bad it was until I watched the head-on replay. DeShawn said he would have likely won if he'd broke sharp.
Minerva was awesome. She keeps catching horses in her races that are droppping from higher classes, but she still tries her heart out!
Galvanizer...well, we don't know what he's up to!
Hoping we have a clean trip tonight. It's really cold here. I was supprised we even ran last night.

Well, our jockey didn't get to the track in time so we had to pick another one not long before the race. He was the one who won on Beaugar, but he'd never ridden Kerri. They weren't the best match I don't think but Kerri always tries. She ran 4th tonight and then they cancelled the rest of the races after the 4th. bbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

Well she certainly looked good anyway. Really pretty girl. I wondered if he should have sent her out so strongly at the beginning.

She actually likes to be in front. I think it had more to do with track conditions than anything else. They've been battling with the freezing temps and then chunks of track that are hard as rocks. The track had no cusion on it last night either. Like running on a road! Hopefully next time things will be better!
