We ran tonight in the 7th with Mr. Grant. He came out of the gate looking like he reared and then he went really far outside to the rail like he was bolting. We were terrified he had gotten hurt. The jockey pulled him up before the finish line. Found out that the gate guy had Grant's head pulled too far to the side when the gates opened. Oz said he came out of the gate crooked and slammed Oz's knee on the gate. He lost his stirrup and had to reach down to get it back. He was able to get Grant back in control but he was much too far out of it. Then his leg started to cramp up and he had to pull Grant to a stop before the wire. Grant seems to be okay but Ozzie hurt his knee enough that he could hardly walk on it.
I hope he's okay. Any spare jingles you might have for him would be much appreciated!

I just read the Equibase report and it said they it looked as though he had injured his leg so I'm glad that is not the case. Sending jingles that Ozzie's knee will be okay.
