I haven't posted here in ages but I still lurk:) Thanks, Dineen for posting for me:) I finally got my login situated. I still don't know how to post pics so I've posted the link to my yahoo albums, where Champ has one of his own. Thanks:)
Reg 5yo (I think ~ have to check his papers) bay TB gelding. Champ is sound, about 15.1 or 15.2 (haven't taped him), off the track since last spring (he was too slow). The girl who owned him (about 19yo) is an extreme novice & she was trail riding & riding him around the farm. She was crawling under him & hanging all over him & he never made a bad move. He is free to a good home but whoever takes him must agree to return him if he doesn't work out or they can't keep him for any reason. He also absolutely cannot be raced.
He's VERY sweet, quiet & has wonderful ground & stall manners. He clips & crossties & seems very eager to please. He needs a strong intermediate or advanced rider. My friend Colleen tried him in an indoor & said he's a bit hot under saddle ~ he really doesn't know a whole lot. He's been off the track since last spring.
I haven't seen him out with other horses but the way it was described to me, sounds as if he's studdy when turned out (dominating ~ no mounting or posturing). He's fine with mares & will try to dominate & bully colts or geldings. He was placed with me to find a home because his owner couldn't keep him with her 18mo colt.
Vet, blacksmith, & at least 2 personal references must be supplied & they will be checked. If you're interested, please email me at info@enchantedacres.net Please tell me a little about yourself, why you want Champ & what you plan to do with him. Champ is at my friend's farm in Jackson, NJ (a mile from me).
