lol...I wouldn't put it quite like that. Maybe the favorite underdog/cinderella story? Yes, Toby had his first published workout since he got hurt. He was a total and complete wacko at the track. DeShawn rode him and said he would have worked better if he hadn't goofed off so much. But, it's a start. We just have to hope all that hard work pays off and his legs hold up!

Yipee!! How was he after the workout? Poor DeShawn probably needed a stiff drink after that ride I bet he was a handful. So ... any race possibilities for Toby anytime soon?

Breezing means he got to go out and get the p&v out. Breezing is more or less a speed work. You can push them for it, or more or less let them out to a 'notch' that you'd liek them at. To get in a race, usually they only have to have one published work, and every trainer is different. Some publish more than one, others will actually breeze several times before publishing, and then continue 'working' the horse a few more times before entering in a race. But I think at some tracks teh work has to be within 30 days of the next start if the horse hasn't raced in more than 6 months?

He still needs more time yet, but we are aiming hopefully for the end of the month. He seemed okay today....we'll see tomorrow how his legs look when the wraps come off.
At MNR you have to have one published work no more than 60 days before a race.
