track rated good. Been raining hard at the Big M, and they had to blade the track before the 6th went. Anyhoo, I've been waiting for this race for a week. Watched Life Source blow the doors off the competition in his elimination division, and thought I should see the final. There was something about this horse that made me want to watch him. He has a presence about him, even over the TV. That presesnce likely comes through the maternal side of his breeding. He was sired by Life Sign, out of Shes Pure Silk by Nihilator. The dam of Shes Pure Silk was Silk Stockings, former world champion pacing mare. Now for the two odd things about Life Source: first, he is a gelding, second, he is 8. At eight, he was the oldest horse in the field, and possibly the only gelding. Hard to research that last bit since the entries are gone, and the results are not up. Here is tonight's blurb from the USTA about the race www.ustrotting.com/absolutenm/anmviewer.asp?a=9352&z=1
