We have two running tonight. Hello Minerva in the 4th and Strode's Baba in the 10th. It will be the first time we've ever run Minerva and only her third start ever. Baba flipped in the gate last start, so who knows with him. Little supprises us anymore. Cross all parts for a safe trip and good finishes. My BF says if we win with Baba, he'll buy me a new Tippary vest! Woohoo!

Well, they cancelled after the second race last night. With all the rain the past few days, and then snow, the jockeys decided the track surface was too dangerous to ride in. We had Minerva all ready to go and were sitting around waiting while they made up their minds..... So, we'll see if they run tonight. They even closed the track for training thos morning.

I turned on TVG just in time to see the announcement - darn. I was looking forward to seeing Minerva especially as she is the really big filly, right? Are the races that were cancelled from last night just gone, or do they postpone them for another night?
Can't believe the freaky weather you guys have been having. We have just had rain and temps back in the 50's. I do NOT want anymore snow!

They just lose those races. They will probably add them back to the condition book as extra races if other don't fill. Yep, Minerva is our huge baby. She was pretty good yesterday too. I was bummed the weather was so poor.

Oh heck - I was going to bet him and then I got so engrossed in watching the Astros LOSE AGAIN, that I forgot! But, I just read the race report and it sounds as though he had plenty of gas in the tank. It said he sort of lollygagged along at first and then got serious near the end Congratulations. I hope you still get your vest even though it was Risk rather than Baba who won.

lol....he just likes to run that way, silly guy. He's almost always near the back of the pack until the top of the stretch. Likes to keep you waiting! Nope, no vest. Risk belongs to my BF's parents. Gotta be one of his horses to get it!
