I got to stay home and watch on tv tonight!
I talked to my BF right after the race. He said Risk broke aweful...which I saw on the tube....but DeShawn said a few horses were acting up in the gate. Risk was quiet. When the bell rang and the gate opened, he took one step backwards.....ugh.....still made fourth though. The comment on equibase kinda sucks, but I thought he made up some ground. He's a good boy, always tries hard.
Did you see the winner come down the lane?? Holy crap was he flying! THAT was impressive!

That's not bad.
I hate those few seconds in the gate... I get so nervous especially when I see other horses acting up... (course that one time my colt reared, dropped the jock and took off because no one was at his head and he was the one horse doesn't help matters- bad memories...)

He did well to get fourth after that start. He was the favorite at 2-1. I think he would have won easily if he had gotten out of the gate better.
