Rumor has it that he's going to be retired due to a bad knee. I almost cried when i heard, i'm so dissapointed. Hopefully rumors are JUST rumors this time and he'll still run...but i have a funny feeling.

Well if he is not ready for whatever reason I am glad they are putting his welfare first and not running him. I hope he is okay, though. Did you see the picture - he has such a cute face!

I would bet they are still looking at the Breeders Cup races.

I saw Smarty this morning!! I'll tell ya, i love that horse. He's not a stellar looking animal, you might even call him small, but he's got these eyes that are just so..smart. He made direct eye contact with me and it was like he knew exactly what I was thinking. I saw him while he was heading to and loading on a van which took him to a local equine clinic. He was only gone for a few hours and I heard through the grapevine that the news they recieved while he was there was "favorable". *fingers crossed* I luff that horse! *Modified to say that the knee rumors seem to be just rumors. The presses have said he has a bruised foot and with the way he was walking today, I can't see it being anything serious. He was walking completely sound.

Jingles for Smarty! That horse has (hopefully) done wonders for the racing business. It would be a shame if he were not able to race again. (*Fingers crossed for an '05 Triple Crown winner*)
