well, I decided to enter Jiggs into a baby green hunter show. We're doing a whole division (four classes), three of them are courses and one is a flat class. The fences are upto 2'3". We had a great jumping lesson last night, we got almost all of our leads correct and I worked on slowing his canter through posting the canter. I was afraid I wouldn't get a chance to practice over fences before the show. My Saturday lesson was cancelled due to it being so cold (-38 with the windchill) I'll be bringing my camera so I should have pics of what Jiggs and I look like when we're dressed up all respectable and stuff hee hee... Jiggs is kinda hairy, so I hope his braids don't sort of vanish into his coat. On a separate note, does anyone know of a way to help sore calf muscles? You know that sort of tightness/soreness that sometimes comes the day after a jumping lesson? My right calf is quite sore this morning, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or remedies that work for them.

Coool, can't wait to see pics. :sun:
Well, you could come soak in Epsom salts with Zen. ;D Or, the Absorbine gel works pretty good. Oh and go for a nice easy walk. It helps, really. No speed walking though.

Thanks for the good luck!
Zen: *L* I don't think Zen would appreciate a human appendage sharing his salt bath, eh? hee hee...
Absorbine gel? I must see if I can get some. I've used some liquid absorbine, but it's hard to keep in place. I've got some walking to do at lunch, so that'll probably help, too.

If you don't have Absorbine on hand, I grab my horses Bigeloil and use it for myself. I love that stuff.

Good luck to both of you! How fun that sounds...and yet...somehow like hard work and terror I wish you guys the best of look and will be anxiously awaiting pictures! As for the calf pain....you mentioned -38 degrees? That'd give me EVERYTHING pain lesson or not! And Zen's idea is good....men think invading baths with appendages is just fine Sorry...really, really sorry.... Good Luck!!! And most importantly, HAVE FUN!
