So I go back to the barn this evening, and there is a HUGE note on the message board that says: Do NOT go INTO STALLS THAT ARE NOT YOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!" (signed) Manager In big angry letters. Hmmmm - who was that supposed to be for? Okay, that does it for me!

That is so unreal. So, what are they going to provide you in order to feed your horses if you can't use a free stall? That's what I'd be asking. That is until you can find a better place. And they do exist you know. I can't believe how long I stayed unhappily at that one barn (started happily enough, until the barn B:curse: decided she didn't need me anymore cause she found someone with a nicer trailer to use. And I mean use.) don't know why I stayed there so long, before I found the place I'm at now. And the one I had Zen at for a while, that's gonna be a Menard's. Both places are soooo much better. They do exist, just takes some looking.

and two buckets out in the middle of the pasture! I don't know - they don't have that many strictly pasture boarders - I think the other ones feed over at the little barn on the smaller pasture and just tie them up. But my stall is at the big barn! I have tried tying up Adair and Peanut in the barn aisle, but like I said, I get looks for doing that too. I tried feeding Adair at the wash rack next to my stall when it was cold weather, but then I started getting looks for that, because they were always wanting to do something with their big dumb a** halter stud, there. It's driving me nuts because there's no pasture right now, and they don't put hay out. If I put hay out when I am there, Adair gets bullied away from it, so I have to put enough out for the others to keep them busy. It's just nuts. I mean, I only rent one stall, but I am paying them the equivalent of two stalls worth of rent with the pasture board. (And I pay full price for Peanut, on top of that) She just has a problem with me because her fiance talks to me. (seriously) And she was all bent out of shape because I was petting one of their yearlings yesterday too. Ooooh - I am bad. That is so unreal. , She just has a problem with me because her fiance talks to me. (seriously) And she was all bent out of shape because I was petting one of their yearlings yesterday too. Ooooh - I am bad. Oooo, you are terrible. Why not feed them in the aisle then. Worst thing that can happen is there will be a note saying no feeding in the aisle. I say let them look. Shoot, go ahead and wave and smile when they gawp at you. What the heck? Am I a trouble maker or what? hehehe I left another barn because of a fiance kinda thing. Of course it was the barn managers girl friend that was the jealous type. The barn manager was nice enough but he had kids older than me, ya know. I only left cause I ran into other people that had had this problem with her and the B :curse: actually cut their horses tail short, ya know to the tail bone short, YIKES! Nope seemed a good time to leave. People she was mad at or just didn't like seemed to have problems with flat tires on the trailers too. Good thing I keep mine at my Grandparents house. Before ya think I can't get along with people at barns, but I have been boarding for 17 years. Most of the barns I've left over the years, sold out to developement or just got out of the boarding business. Just two were due to barn psychos.

They are being quite rude. At my barn, no one would get angry if you used a stall to grain as long as it was cleaned back up. They sound like they are just picking. It is also rude how they just put the note on the board. If something is wrong at my barn, the barn manager would approach you, not just put a note up to embarass someone. I would definately move on. You are going to be stressed out no matter what you do there, so its not worth it.

I'm with LynnC on this!! No matter what the "problem" is or isn't the boarding facility is a BUSINESS! That means that the people running it should act as professionals. The note on the board was not only unprofessional but it was cowardly and rude. Not the way to run a business, a friendship, or any sort of adult interaction.
That said I say write a note on the board that says....HAHAHAH
Really, I hope you can find a better facility. That's nuts and I have found at the "bad barns" I've been at that once that silly kind of nonsense begins it just spirals....
Good luck.
Did you quack?

Good grief is right! How petty of these people.
What if you just continue to act like the normal, reasonable adult that you are and ignore the little power trips. Maybe you could just flat out ask the owner if it is no longer acceptable for you to use vacant stalls the way you have been, what safe alternative do they suggest? Put the ball in their court.
If I follow this correctly, the bride-to-be is just marking her turf. I'm sure everyone here would be happy to suggest appropriate gifts for you to take to the wedding! LOL. No matter what, you can outclass these dopes. Think of them as socially handicapped and just have fun with your horses!

YES! On a more serious note (darn that's hard for me) Ad is right!! Be a normal adult, approach calmly and ask what the alternative is for you.
