I cant do this winter anymore.. Working at 5 in the morning in 10 degree weather for the rest of the week has got me in a stupor.. I dont know how im going to make it through. Im not a winter person for our usually MILD winters so this just blows me away. I get home every morning at 7 dragging my in the door with icicles in my hair and pants soaked from the snow, my hands look like i should be atleast 90 years old with splits and cracks that continue to bleed no matter how much "therapy lotion" i put on them. I have bandaids on every finger that dont stay on in my gloves. My horses think they are retired ..and if i have to haul one more m- -er f- -ing ice bucket out the door I really will lose it.... Ok i think im done ....

Jeepers thought maybe I was the only person with that split fingers syndrome!!!! I have bandaids on every friggin finger too! My cuticles split right next to the nail and it HURTS LIKE FRIGGIN HECK!@ The only thing I have found to work is to apply Neosporin (the kind with the anesthetic in it) then wrap with a "sports bandaid" that won't come off in moisture. At least it kills the pain at first, then starts to heal the crack within a day. Unfortunately, as soon as you take off the bandaid, the cracks come back. I was thinking of putting Neosporin on all my fingers, then putting on a surgical glove before going to bed each night so they could heal a little overnight. You know how they used to tell "ladies" to apply hand lotion then cotton gloves to moisturize their hands? Well we need somethin' a LOT MORE INDUSTRIAL, huh? Gawd I hate this winter hand syndrome! I doesn't help that the rest of the time we're not in the barn, we've got our hands submerged in dish soap, Windex, laundry detergent, Mop 'n Glo, or Suave Cherry Almond Kids Shampoo! hahahha

Yes, yes, YES, it HAS to stop. I spent another 3 hours riding that :curse: green :curse: :curse: :curse: giant :curse: white :curse: shovel yesterday. Hadda plow through a 3 foot drift - same :curse: one I reoved 5 times already. I am blessed with tough skin, so no cracked fingers for me, it also helps that I use el cheapo no name cocoa butter on my hands, and try to avoid soap, just use Noxema for washing. I am also tired of bashing bucket with a hammer to remove the huge round ice cubes, and tired of dragging that stupid toboggan to the barn three times a day!!!! I WANT SPRING, NOW!!!!!
