Just for you, ClairLV, here's IshiAnd have any of you guys had acupuncture on yourself or animal? I want to do it for Maggie, the 17 year old for her arthirtis and Cushings. I can't give her anti-immflamatories due to her liver failure! So I was wondering about acupuncture, does it work in dogs, have you done it, or am I just grasping at straws for her? Thanks!

Cute pic.... I had the needle thingy LOL done and for me it didnt do a thing. It was supposed to help sever back pain a few years ago from when I had broke a couple small bones. I wasnt at all impressed and I also got a weird type of rash at all the needle sites, it was a well know office too. Now my mom in law had her one dog done each month for a spinal problem and she swears it made the dog feel better...I think maybe for some it does work and for some it doesnt. Give it a try and see...

I use acupuncture regularly. I can tell you it has done absolutely wonders on me. I have severe back problems because of an old epidural abcess and meningitis that caused my spine grow funny near my coxis ( sp?).....ANYWAY, I used to have constant back pain, couldn't stand for half an hour without hurting really bad and I did it once every couple weeks for a while.. it hurt a LOT but now I am almost pain free! I have a really good acupuncturist too.
