Hey Christi-Lee here-if I had read directions I would have known to check my email for my password. So, Lee and LeeS are me too! You can take them off if you want (or I can do it, if that's possible)

Consider it done. You will still log in as "thea", but your name shows up as "HokieThea". I hope you were serious. If not, let me know and I'll change it back. ;D Christi

Hey ~ I want ot be a hokie too! We are huge Hokie fans. I lived in Bluefield WV (about an hour away) for two years and then moved to Blacksburg and stayed another year & half before we came up here! I still remember sitting at Macado's in B'Burg watching the Sugar Bowl, trying to rally the crowd, consuming way too many beers and after waking up REALLY hungover the next day finding the entire backseat of my Taurus full of Hokie Balloons that I had conned from the Manager after the loss! ;D ;D ;D GO HOKIES!!! ;D ;D ;D

Someone else who loves Hokies!!! I, my husband, my sister, her husband, musband's brother and his wife all went to VT. I graduated in '89, and every time I go back it looks a little different. My little utopian dream is to retire in Blacksburg! Of course it probably wouldn't be the same as when I was young, free and crazy, but hey, I can dream.

I graduated in 1995 and I really enjoyed my time there but I'm not a mountain lover and I was ready to get back to the flat land. I went to 5 bowl games in a row starting with the Independence Bowl but haven't been for a while-they were always big fun. Every time I go back to Blacksburg, something else turns into a bar-how many bars do they need?

My sister graduated in "95. WHat was your major there? She was horticulture. I know what you mean about the bars. They keep changing the names on us. Answer me this: How can the Cellar have an upstairs?! Ah, the memories...

College Mascot / Team Nickname for Virginia Tech GO HOKIES!Here's a quote from a newspaper article that kinda sums it up for you! "What's a Hokie? "I would think that more people would have known by now, that they would have looked it up or something," Davis said. "A Hokie, I think, went back to a chant we had a long time ago, and it has been a pretty dominant question this week." Actually, the writer's name was O.M. Stull, and he invented the word "Hokie" just to draw attention to his entry in an 1896 contest to come up with a new school cheer. It won, and ever since, Virginia Tech players have been known as Hokies. They also have been known as the Fighting Gobblers, but that nickname is rarely used any more. After all, a pugilistic turkey can't be any better than a "Hokie," can it?"

Thea- I got my degree in Landscape Architecture but I did take some classes in Horticulture (wish I took more). I might know your sister! That's a good explanation for Hokie-I always have to explain that it's not really a castrated turkey.
