Is there anyone on this list who would be interested in doing a free
lease of my 16 hand OTTB gelding on the East Coast (CT, MA, ME, RI, LI,
NH, VT, NJ etc?). I am financially strapped and do not have time to
ride him right now as I am doing major renovations on the house and
barn which will go well into the year 2008. Rather than sell him I
thought if there was anyone who would be interested in doing a free
lease...4-H, youth, pleasure rider etc on their property for a few
years. I will be very fussy about where he goes and will want to
maintain contact as well as see him from time to time to ensure his
well being. This horse is wonderful...rides english and knows basic
flatwork but still needs training....does not buck, kick or rear...gets
along with other horses and LOVES attention. He is a real sweetheart.
But because he is still considered green I would prefer riders who are
intermediate or better work/ride him. He is only to be used for
pleasure/trail and can be trained to jump low jumps...no high jumps or
big show jumping due to his conformation. He would be best in a place
where he can be barefoot. If you are interested or know of anyone
