The barn owner's kids are grown and no longer play with their miniature donkey so they are looking to re-home him. I think he is probably around 10 y/o but not sure. Cute but ornery. He is free to good home and is in SE PA.

Well, I'm researching donkeys as we speak. The care, needs, feeding. I'm not promising anything can happen soon, but I LOVE Lynne's Toucas, every time I go there I love him more and more. We'll see!

Go for it Michelle. My two mini donks provide more entertainment than any other animals I have owned. I love the comment "cute but ornery". Pretty much sums it up. They are very easy keepers.

They are very good "watch dogs" too; Eyeore heehaws at me when I am out feeding my mare - the owners alwasy know when I am around (of course it could be because I feed him treats and hay cubes!).!

I remember Jay's face the 1st time he heard the mammoth jack at our barn holler at feed time!
:hahahay:
Go get him, Michelle, they're so much fun! (The miniatures are much cuter, though!)

Michelle - I think you should go and get him! I love our barn's mini donk. He is famous in this area, having been the farm manager for several local barns. He has outlived everyone who might remember when he was born. He is ANCIENT. Jim loves him. My DH loves him. They make great companions and are very entertaining. Easy easy easy keepers too. GET HIM!!! You know you want to.

He used to pull a mini cart but I've never witnessed it (I'm sure THAT would be entertaining since he hasn't had to do anything but heehaw for at least the last 4 years!)
