Oooo! Fab picture LauraR! What a beaut! This is the one you're trying to "find" right? He's a Standardbred? He is VERY gorgeous - and why do STBs always throw their heads around so much when they are playing! Mine does that like crazy! It's how I KNOW he can actually flex at the poll, cause he SURE DON'T DO IT under saddle! hahaha

Buddy wouldn't flex well either.. he was such a bugger to get collected!!!! He always tossed his head and neck.. .my girlfriend told me he was "gesturing" and that was bad behavior... I always said he looked pretty when he did it.. LOL.. okay so he was spoiled rotten! Yep.. he's the one I'm trying to find.. yep.. standardbred.. his sire is Grabruck and dam is Katytorch (out of Blowtorch)... He doesn't look much like an SB... he was more Morgan/QH looking.. He is built like a mini-warmblood.. LOL

Gosh, LauraR, Buddy is beeeeuuuuteefull and put together pretty darn nice!! Ya gotta love that "blood" bay color, too. (My favorite color of bay!) My gelding Tucker (QH) tosses his head around when he's playing and does that snaky move, too. Maybe it's a "boy" thing?! Now, do you do dressage on Buddy? I keep losing track of what everybody does (or doesn't do!). :loon:

So how long before the broken neck heals? LOL He's stunning. And I've noticed a lot of Standardbreds do that and Arabs too. My mother's half-Arab does that all the time too. I think they are showing off. ;D

Actually, I had to sell Buddy 2 years ago this May. It broke my heart to do it. I just didn't have any time. He is actually the one I posted about earlier in the board that I am looking for. We were very early-on in his training.. but I thought he would have been good ateventing/dressage/jumping, etc... He has great speed, even though he never raced nor was trained to race, he had a trot that was quicker than my girlfriend's OTTB at a dead run! They use to race in the runs where we use to board. I miss him alot..
