Going nicely under saddle - a kick along! Walk, trot, cantering and going over ground poles. Was NH trained (Monty Roberts) and only had 1 owner. Nothing seems to phase this girl! She loads, clips, ties, bathes, easy keeper, has always been barefoot. Her trot has wonderful suspension. Has been free jumped up to 2'6, and was great - never refused, and was nice and round. Easy enough for a Jr to finish out. "Vow" has done it all -first as a Steeplechaser he has shown hunters Jumpers Dressage Foxhunted with the Green Creek Hounds and has been evented by the BEST - Mark Phillips! He is a blast to ride and has a wonderful personality. He would be best suited for a lower level pony clubber/H/J rider or someone who just wants a FUN horse to play around on. He LOVES trail rides and goes along quietly on a loose rein. he is ridden in a snaffle and is brave to the jumps. He has had a hard life though and does require some maintence but it is WELL worth it. If you don't fall in love with him from his pic and ad then come see him in person!! Would you be willing to lease Vow? I'm a student at UIowa and there isn't ANYTHING to ride here, it seems, donkeys included. There is a barn near campus with a really good event trainer, but I don't have a horse, and he has nobody I can ride.

I guess what I'm asking is, would you be willing to lease out Vow away from home? I'd take excellent care of him--as for my own experience, I've broken a couple of horses and ponies and up until recently, when I sold mine, had a horse--a Perch/TB gelding I broke myself.

Though it sounds like you could offer him a wonderful home, my dad would shoot me if I leased him out - his exact words were "Vow isn't to leave your property unless you get a check in your hands first" Even though I am a grown woman, he has paid for a LOT pertaining to Vow, and has had to help me out of the last lease that turned very bad.
