I have been getting junkmail from Yahoo! Is this a Yahoo board?? Is there some way to get them to stop selling my email addy. We have two addy and I used our private one for this board. I don't care what they do with the "hotmail" addy, but the "TCSN" is the private one. I had no idea they would sell it to other companies. I am useing the unenroll selection on each email. HELP!

No, this is not a Yahoo board. Are you a member of any Yahoo groups?
It also helps to never show your email addy when you post on boards. If you don't have your email addy hidden in your profile, you might consider hiding it (that's an option when you edit your profile).
Hope that helps!

I am useing the unenroll selection on each email. HELP! Rule #1 for reducing SPAM - never, ever do the "unsubscribe" or "unenroll" or "to remove yourself from this list" actions they ask you to do. This is a way for them to confirm that the email address they have for you is a real address and that someone is there reading the emails. The best way to deal with any of it is just to delete it. I don't think its from registering on this board - if you used your 'real' addy somewhere signing up for your hotmail addy, that could pose a problem. SPAM (Junk email) probably doesn't actually come from the address that it looks like it comes from either - it's a way not to get caught doing it. A lot of times when you sign up for a free email (or free anything) there will be a page asking you if you want to receive information about blah blah blah and lists a bunch of crap, and usually the default is to have that all marked before you go on to the next screen when you are signing up for the addy - that might be another thing that could have happened, not checking anything (thinking that's how you don't sign up for the junk mail/newsletters/whatever) that you won't get any, but you really have to read closely and UNcheck the option(s).
