Well it was TOO SNOWY to play outside this weekend so I thought I'd play with my toys instead. Do you recognize these three guys? Who could they all be?? Hmmmm. I wonder. Adcooper will especially loff this picture, cause she LOFFS Breyer toys... She thinks that they are a good investment of money especially for grownups. Only one of these is a Breyer - the STB. The TB is a Peter Stone, and the little Welshie ( who by the way is in PERFECT proportion to the big guys) is another company whose name evades me at the moment. But they do excellent pony breed models.. I had really really fun playing with my toys, and I also had fun dressing them up this way too. Did I mention that I am 45 years old?

LMAO! Ok that cracks me up... you're too funny. I like breyers too..I have a friend who is a grown woman who is obsessed with them. I like em, but I like the little accessories they come with... like... little halters and bits and stuff... so cute!

You're inside playing with toy horses, when Winny, Teddy and Twister are stuck in the barn needing massages and manicures and hot mashes? Shame on you. I suspect we all have breyer horses somewhere.

Funny! I wish you guys could see the recent fate of my beloved Breyer ponies…NATHAN! He has discovered the wonders of horsies lately, and saw my Breyer horses in the closet. He threw a horsie fit until I took them out for him.
He has a few that are favorites, and carries them all over the house saying, “Horseeeee”. I guess it’s just a matter of time before he breaks their legs. This weekend, I even caught him feeding a paint some of his brownie. LOL!
I should be glad though…He loves all things “horsie”…including his bouncy horse, horse figurines (Little People and Playmobile), and stuffed horsies. And he has a new stick horsie that he rides all over the house. It’s so much taller than him, when he ‘rides’ it, the stick is almost parallel with the floor. LOL! He threw a fit when I wouldn’t let him take his stick horsie to the grocery store. Ugh!
He carries King’s picture book around and flips through the photos, and he even helped me with some web design this weekend. He got so excited when I was working on Exracers.com, and he was screaming “HORSEEE” and pointing at the screen. LOL!
I think we’re going to do some horsie rides at Grammy’s house when the weather gets a little nicer!

Your horses are toast now... Caroline has her own HUGE collection of Breyers and "doll" horses, but she's SUPPOSED to leave these three alone. She usually ends up having "riding lessons" with them by jamming a Barbie onto each plastic horse and away they go! I think I have to buy the Breyer horse trailer and truck they have out now...cause she caught wind of THAT in a catalog lately, and it's all I hear about.....

Almost as cute as "My Fair Lady"! :hahaha: And what lovely accessories - no wonder you like to play with them. Shelby doesn't own any Breyers, just cheap imitations, from teeny tiny to big. I tend to find them in pockets, backpack, under the bed, in the bathtub, etc. - just wish she admired her REAL PoNee so (okay, he wouldn't like the bathtub, anyway). That snowy landscape in the background sure LOOKS pretty - we don't have any of it around. And what a dust-free table top! Were you bored enough to do some housework, too? ;D Unfortunately, I rarely get THAT bored - thank goodness we seldom have unexpected visitors!

..that's the hot tub cover! hee hee! Out in the porch, where dirt reigns supreme! You just can't see it! Nope - no housework...just playing outside and in!
Oh, and hahaha! Caroline takes her horses and Barbies into the bathtub too...what's UP with that?

I think it's a genetic predisposition for all little girls to take their Barbies into the bathtub. In this way, their little brains are systematically programmed to believe that they, too, will grow up to have unrealistically small waists (not to mention FEET), in combination with an unrealistically large bosom (what we girls call them in our house ;D) - instead of the reality of thick waists, big feet, and need I even mention bosom??:hahaha: Shelby also likes to put Barbie CLOTHES in the tub, which results in a soggy drippy mess, post bath.

hahaha Morgane also has a collection of horseys (not Breyers, and most are NOT fragile) , paints, duns, black, bays, Morgans, Tbs and even a mule!!...but she doesn't take them in the bath tub with her. For that, she has dolphins and orca whales and Pooh and Tigger and a Barbie Little Mermaid with a half shell that lights up...ahhhh...

Keep playing. I alwasy wanted that harness one as a kid, it had come out in the 80's boy did I like it.. Then it is out again I think? that one is newer, me thinks, looks fancier then I remeber..

Hey I resemble those remarks I actually have half a room of Breyers/Peter Stones & assorted other makes, including those old Johnny West series Marx horses, anybody remember those?? I am particularly addicted to the smallest Breyer horses the stablemates that are only a couple inches tall. I even show these models at model horse shows, have tack, props, etc for them like those in the pics. Too funny, & now you all know how weird I really am, LOL.

Not wierd Dawn!
I also used to do the model shows....and also race my TB models. i had 2 "TBs in training"...Carribean King and Calypso Cat. I think they were actually the Terrang and Kelso models.
I must admit...I am smitten with the new Breyer hunthorse set that comes with a hound and a red fox!!
S.May...love your models...I have the Breyer pacer in dark bay somewhere.
