Christi,
After this upgrade we are unable to use smilies you have included. Is there a way to make them workable again?

Well, I see them up there, but they don't click down. I'll have to look into that this week. Looks like we can still use the regular ones for now. Christi

What about the email notifications? I see the "bookmark" thingy when you reply, but it doesn't send you and email when someone posts on that thread....

Jenarby, I'll add that to my list of things to check on. Right now, my greater concern is that all of our AOL people can't log in. They have to go through the email authorization, and AOL is blocking that email. Damn AOL... Why did they have to do this to me??? Christi

Maybe I can help.....
Smilie code problem: I'm guessing that the code for the smilies isn't compatible with v4. In your smilies code there should be a word "adds" - change that to "add" and it should work.
Not recieving notification/registration e-mails:
Most people experience this problem with Hotmail. Check your junkmail bin. Sometimes they are redirected through the filter.
OR
AOL users:
The newest versions of AOL have the "advanced SPAM blockers" and may make it impossible for Proboards to contact you. Admins may have to manually register members who experience this problem. Or you can try using a free email account (Yahoo, etc)
Or try this:
To access your Spam folder on AOL:
If you go to AOL Keyword Spam you can set your preferences for the Spam folder and if you go to AOL keyword Spam Folder it'll bring you to the Spam folder.
If you are still unable to retrieve it, then I suggest the AOL users to set up a free email account with Yahoo etc.
As for receiving email notifications of the posts you are watching.....
When yo post to that thread, click on the top box that says "Check this box if you wish to bookmark this thread." Now go to your Profile. At the top - beside where it says Member's Bio - click on the "Bookmarks" link. Now, click on the link that says "Click here to manage your bookmarks preferences."
It will say "By default, when you bookmark a thread, what type of notification would you like to receive when a new post is made in that thread?"
Below that is a drop down menu - just click on "email" option and then the "Update Bookmarks and preferences" button, and voilà! You will then be able to receive notifications (Bookmarks) by email.
Hope this all helped!
