I am just about to start a new one by John Sandford. Gees, I can't even remember the name. After this one, I have the new sequel to the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series lined up.
I recently read Alex Kava's series and I thought the stories were good, but I really disliked the main character after the first 2 books.
Of course I'm mostly into crime/thriller stuff, which may not be your genre. Check out the book thread on UDBB for some suggestions maybe. Their taste is a bit more highbrow than mine, so you would likely find some good stuff.

My friend Jamie gave me the book Catch the Gray Horse by R. Austin Healy for Christmas (murder mystery) and I'm just getting around to reading it. Pretty good so far.

In Her Name: Redemption by Michael Hicks for those that like sci fi battles and alien cultures with a bit of forbidden romance and angst thrown in...it's long (three books), but the characters really stick with you.
One Second After by William Forstchen. Not great writing but makes you think. Post apocalyptic but in a "real world" scenario (no zombies)
The Raine Benares books by Lisa Shearin. Light fantasy fun. Great, fun characterizations and an interesting storyline. Also has a romantic line to it too but it's not overwhelming.
Sand by Hugh Howey. If you've not read the Wool series, too, that'll keep you busy for awhile.

If you like Hugh Howey, I really liked Half-way Home.
