I think if there were TWO of you, other Brooks would like to live in a castle - but REAL Brooks would never want to leave her own lovely home???
(Having said that - Hearst Castle is just up the road from you - you could use it as a 'weekend' place.)

Oh that is true...............where is Deb ? I hope she's not frozen, it's been cold at her place too. OH that old/new place Bara it does not have the history or the grandeur of places like Highclare. It is all too Hollywoodish and fake. Have been to see it once or twice but always it reminded me of some movie set. I would love to see a proper castle with all the history/stories that go with them. Someday |

I know what you mean. We drove into the car park at Hearst - and thought noooo. You want ghosts, don't you, Brooks! Here is Hampton Court Palace. 2 miles from my old home. Personally, I think the ghost is Shannon. I lost her for about 1/2 hour when we went there.
