... Brooks woke up and looked around her. She appeared to be in Hobbiton, in the Baggins Hobbit-hole.
There was a knock at her door. "Good Morning, Brooks! cried Bilbo. He put the breakfast tray down on her bedside table.
"We're off on an ADVENTURE!" Said Bilbo.
"Oh HEAVENS!" Thought Brooks. "He doesn't know! I've gone back in time.."
She sat up, poured cream on her porridge. Bilbo sat on the edge of her bed, beaming.
"Oh dear," Thought Brooks. "He doesn't know."
"May I have some more toast, please?" asked Brooks.

" And more Seed cake" Oh ! Brooks thought if only I could live here for ever, here in Bag End. She continue to dream of all the people she met along her walk, then suddenly the bed was shaking and she heard someone calling........"BROOKS WAKE UP !!!!!" Brooks was being pulled out of her dream back to reality "Where are we ?" shouted Bara "I do not know" said Deb "Brooks was in charge of the navigational system, but then she fell asleep" Goalie said. Still shaking her back to now. Brooks was complaining "No, NO !! I want to stay......Oh did you have to wake me, I didn't get my Seed cake. So what is so important you had to wake me? ? wait a minute where are we anyway ??" " That's why we woke you, we don't know....LOOK OUT THE WINDOW" They all shouted at once. "UMMMMMMM That's not right, someone said in a very deep male voice.............

"I seem to be in the wrong book!"
The deep voice belonged to Dumbledore, who was tapping with his staff on the window.
"Oh never mind about the Seed Cake, Brooks. Have some of my Blueberry bread," said Terrie consolingly.
"Not YOU Bara," snapped Goalie, slapping her hand.
"So. Where are we going, Headmaster?" Brooks was now wide awake.
Zen was surfing her laptop for a link to Dragonaire. She had a feeling that they may need their dragons before too long.
Ann seemed to be fixated on the memory of the ring on Bilbo's hand.
"It was only a dream, Ann" said Brooks.
"Hmmm. That's what they told ME," said the little girl. The Ex-racers looked at her. "Alice" she said, introducing herself.
"DEFINITELY the wrong book," grumbled Dumbledore.
They all turned to Brooks. "So, where are we going, then?"

Dumbledore decided that she was suffering from a little know or understood side effect. It comes from reading too many make believe stories. "She is unable to remember where she is or anything about this life. This is very serious, we must get her too Hogwarts" Dumbledore informed them. "Let her fall asleep again, it's the safest way to move her"
Dumbledore sent an Owl to Hogwarts to let them know they were coming. The ladies all packed up and got the Dragons ready to go. Dumbledore the sent Hagrid an Owl also, so he'd be ready for that many Dragons.
Out onto the lawn they went climbed on there Dragons, while Dumbledore lifted Brooks up onto Danny Boy and off they all went.......................

Ann was standing on the camomile lawn, her hair blowing in the up-beat of the dragons' wings. She was nursing a bruise on her arm. Her dragon was waiting, gently fanning his wings.
A table skidded to a halt in front of her - and curtsied. "You again!" said Ann. The table grovelled.
Moments later, Ann was sitting on the table, which was being towed by her dragon. "This is ridiculous," thought Ann, "does this table know the way to Hogwarts?"
"He's a member of Mensa," said a young voice. Ann was sharing her ride with a small, blonde Victorian child. Ann put her arm around the girl and sighed. "Hello, Alice," said Ann.

Alice looked at An and said, " Do you know where the White Rabbit was last seen? I really need to have him with me right now. "
Ann looked around and thought, "Why does this always happen to me? I just want to go on a nice peaceful trip with the other exracers, and I end up having to mentor some young girl, and help her get there in one piece."
As Terrie was making sure that Bara got a blueberry bread loaf all for herself, Brooks was reaching into her big travel valise and pulled out a large book. As she opened it the other exracers saw...........................................

A picture book. But a picture book with a difference. As Brooks turned the pages, each picture came to life.
'What now?' asked Brooks. She looked around her. 'Hello, Radlett,' she said. "Forry. Truth. Goalie - is that you? Guy?"
The horses kept crowding in...

For the viking ship was very narrow and crowded with men in funny clothes. "ANNNNNN NOW LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE !!!!!!" Shouted Brooks and Bara !!!!

"I was coming on this adventure to get AWAY from my Vikings," grumbled Bara, as she climbed into the dragon boat and reluctantly picked up an oar..
Brooks was pulling the next oar. "Oh, stop whining," she snapped, "I took you to Bora Bora, didn't I? And just think how good this exercise is for our weight loss regime!"
Ann was seatmates with young Alice. She looked at the 4ft child in her crinoline. She sighed. "Ah well," she said. "No more cello-shapes for ME."
Niaru, embarking, was causing a bit of a fuss.
"What's going on?" Welkin whispered. "She's asking to see her Stateroom and where she can plug in her hairdryer," replied Tee.
Lisa sat down at the drum - she was the one keeping the beat to keep the rowers together. Her Mohican haircut wasn't really designed to work with a horned helmet.
"Valhalla or bust! Lisa called.
"Oh, well that's bl**dy cheerful," Terrie said.

*I think I was misunderstood - thought Niaru - my accent, again, probably. Hair Dryer? Hardly! I'm just looking for a place to nurse my hangover...too many shots with too many Vikings. MAN those boys can drink!
Meanwhile, Alice was trying to talk to a shy, tiny little girl wearing a red cape.
"Why won't she talk to me?" whined Alice to Ann "Well, you have to understand", said Ann. "The last time she talked to a stranger, it didn't end very well, nether for her or her grandma."
Just then the child jumped on Ann's lap, screaming.
"Oh, HUSH already", said a deep, tired voice, as a shaggy wet wolf clambered aboard. "These days I'm more into Blueberry cookies and muffins. Now WHERE ARE THEY!"

"Here, Puppy!" soothed Terrie, laying a trail of blueberry crumbs for Wolfie.
L'il Red and Alice were smiling shyly at each other and clasped hands.
"OMG," thought Brooks. "Here we go again. Now it's wolves, nursery rhyme characters and Vikings. It's supposed to be dragons!"
Danny was there - romancing the cuddly Dragon figurehead.
The girls were playing hopscotch and the Dragon Boat was swaying dangerously. The big, fierce Vikings were joining in the girls' game, which made the long ship even less stable.
"Did someone say Stable?" asked Zenrider, embarking with her ole kitbag over her shoulder.
"Here we go again," thought Bara. "I wonder where we'll finish up, this time?"
"Don't be silly," said Brooks. "We never actually finish anywhere."
"Isn't that the whole joy of it?" said ....

Terrie Meanwhile Brooks was frantically trying to remember something but what she couldn't remember, the little clear ball in her hand had turned a blood red color. "Oh what is it ??" she finally said aloud. A large blue smoking worm/caterpillar was sitting top of the Dragons head. " WHOOOOOOO ARE YOUUUUU" it uttered to Brooks. "I am not quite sure at this point" she said then slapped the book shut and all the storybook creatures disappeared. "There that is much better." Just then the Viking ship landed at there destination which just happen to be down the road from Bara's place. So the all make there way to her cute little cottage. Terrie started the tea kettle and looked for the plates. Niaru found the table cloth and set the table. The rest of the girls were busy finding places to sleep and laying out covers for everyone. Brooks got a fire started in the fireplace and was thinking of the traveling they still needed to do. Suddenly there was a great pounding on the front door...............everyone looked at one another...........

"Sssshhhh!" Bara whispered. The lights went out (that happens a lot). The Ex-Racers shushed.
The Jarl continued pounding at the door. He was large, bearded, and he lived next door. His name was Ivor.
"Sshush" hissed Bara.
Niaru pulled the door open. "Bonjour," she purred....
Ivor fell back a step, an arrow in his heart...
Niaru put on an exaggerated French accent : Ivor fell back another step.
"OMG!" Hissed Bara. "What?" said Brooks. "It's Diane, Mrs Ivor..!" said Terrie.
Brooks snatched Niaru back into the croft and slammed the door. Danny was guarding the door. For tonight, the exracers were safe. "Yes, but," whispered Brooks. "Sshh," said Ann. "Tomorrow is another day."
Bara let out a resonating snore.
Zen pulled her kitbag over her head.

As everyone settled in to sleep where they could, with most snuggled in next to warm, fuzzy Danny, Bara was having a restless sleep...
What could she be dreaming of?.....

Said Deb, she turned over, in her sleep. Bara, Ann, Brooks and Niaru were still in the Land of Nod. Lexie was licking Deb's face...
Oh STOP, said Deb, wiping her face.
"But look, Auntie Deb," said Lexie. "It's the Northern Lights. Aurora Borealis. Just outside our back door."
"Wow," said Danny. And Bara.
