OK, I really have to get the last leg of my journey done, so I can work tomorrow. Sigh. Don't have time to do downloads onto photobook yet, but here's a quick pic from my trip.

What is that tower made of? It looks volcanic - but you'll probably tell me it's sandstone! Fabulous.

Great pics! Is that the actual "mountain" that is shown in the movie? Sounds like you had a nice vacation!

Brooks, I wish I could do more traveling too. Bara, what is it made of? Apparently the answer is quite complicated. www.nps.gov/deto/naturescience/geologicformations.htmNiaru, Yep, that's the one. The place for the mother ship scene doesn't actually exist though. Still a neat place.

Your mode of transportation is what I would have preferred when we went on our vacation in '92 on Gold Wing motorcycles. We travelled the same route you did in Wyoming and South Dakota. Did you go into Montana, also?

Gosh! I'm NEVER right, but it's volcanic.
Oh, now, Deb. Somewhere I have pictures of you on that bike! You were a very convincing Rock- Chick!

LOL, Deb, that's cool that you two did that, but I think there were a few people on motorcycles that looked at my rig and thought the same thing. And there were a lot of motorcycles in Yellowstone when I was there. I heard a bison might have messed one up, but the people weren't hurt.

Going to add a couple of more pics from visiting Crazy Horse before moving on. close up of the face Lunch. Only lunch/dinner picture I took. That's a Native American Taco. And yes, I ate the whole thing. I wish I caught his name, but he was there sharing some Native American dances and insight.
