Bara, just saw a British friend driving her new/used golf cart around town. She hadn't seen my new/used car, and teased me about how I pronounce it.
"I usually say 'the blue car'" I dodged, "but I know I'm supposed to say 'Jag-you-arr.'"
She nodded approvingly, and forbade me to adopt the American "Jag-whahrrr."
I promised to say "blue car" whenever I am tempted to disobey.

I'd worry more about the golf cart!
To be really cool, Ann, you just call it 'the Jag'. Like my car is 'the Merc'. (Pronounced 'mirk').
Do you think she just says 'the cart'?

The golf cart appears to have been stolen from a snobby country club. Now that is cool.
