I just have to share. Her face has healed, she's sound, and I've had 2 lessons in the past 2 weeks. One dressage, one jumping. She was a star! She (and I!) is discovering a whole new "gear" in dressage, once I tell her that no, she can't lean on me - she wants to travel with her nose on the ground if I let her) and no, she can't be lazy and has to move her hiney and be uphill! Lots of work for me at first, but then we got a much bigger trot and a light, attentive and responsive horse. She was dubbed "little power house" by Instructor. ;D ;D ;D Then today, jumping lesson, which I had a feeling would go well since I had to wake her up from her nap in the sun. We haven't really jumped since last fall, just a X here and there. Today we jumped ONE crossrail then went on to 2'6 - 2'9 (faked) stone walls, panels, lines, in and outs, oxers...she never looked at any of them, took everything in stride, didn't rush and even had her knees to her chin at times (over the oxers!) I love my horse (when she's like this, at least!!!) ;D

Mwaha Zen! Yes, for once I am not posting about BOINKING, bolting and other antics! Brooks I think she's looking for water or mud she could roll in. When there's snow on the ground, she likes to play "submarine" when I ride her. When we canter like that I'm always scared she'll trip over her own nose

Hi Tbrescue! (where's that waving Smiley??) Long time no see. How's Moose? Miss Charm was doing great - I jumped her again the other day and she was very polite. But last time I rode I thought she was NQR again...

Thanks Goalie. She was just fine today. I'm going to give her a round of Adequan, just to be on the safe side. After all, she's 15 years old!

I knew Charm was a teenager, but then Goalie is 22 this year and it doesn't seem possible.

Oh, joy! This just sounds perfect. It's what makes riding the best.

She's reached that boring middle age! No more boinking Charm stories. --until a nice fall temp in the air? heh heh Hope she stays quite right and you keep having really great rides like the ones you have had recently!
