As some of you may already know....I've been helping to put together a new event here in Ohio to showcase thoroughbred off the track in rodeo type of events. We want to highlight the smaller horses that are usually passed on for hunter/jumper/eventing/dressage types of mounts. We created the Extreme Retired Racehorse Makeover. This is a 100 day training challenge for barrel racers. They will each have a OTTB to trainer and in that time they will have to teach them the basics as well as be able to perform a barrel pattern.
We have all kinds of fun things planned for the evening. In the end we hope to raise money for Bright Futures Farm as well as for CANTER here at Mountaineer.
