Hi guys Its been a long tome since I have been on here. So long now that I forgot my old user log in details. So apologies for creating a new account. Some of the moderators will hopefully remember me as I run the Ex racers club in the UK. Which is a national non profit organisation for ex race horses. We organise classes all over the Uk and have our own championship classes too. We also help re-home ex racers and have freebies and offers going on sometimes as well. Some of you cam over and registered on our forums and we a had a good natter. The point of my visit today is to see how you are all getting on and hopefully that some of you will remember me and the club. Also we have just set up our official facebook page so if any of you would like to pop over and just give us a like that would be great. www.facebook.com/ExRacersClub

Of course we remember you. It's good that you can come and say hi. I got your email about your new facebook page and went right over to it. Very nice. Welcome back. I am going to move this to the main board so the rest of our members will see it.

Oh, nice! The Jockey Club here in the US has initiated the TIP program which helps to donate prizes to TB only classes/divisions at horse shows. I believe they also keep up with points for year end type awards. Recently, due to several programs like the ones the Pittmans have started, there has been a renewed interest in the exracer as a sporthorse. The Pittman's program is called the Retired Racehorse Training Project (I think..lol) and they currently have Declan's Moon as part of this year's program. Declan's wiki page: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Declan's_Moon Great to see you back!

Thanks guys. It seems such a long time ago now. The ex race horse does appear to becoming more popular in the UK too. Lots of new groups and clubs have been set up for them over here since we last spoke.
I have a new boy now. Yes he is a thoroughbred. Never won anything apart from my heart that is. He is 18 years old now and doing really well.
Many thanks for liking our new facebook page. The more the merrier.

Thanks, Terrie! Good grief! Is that Jen?
Welcome back. Goalie and I were just wondering about you. Thanks for the update. I've moved, I'm no longer in Ascot, I'm in Shetland. But my horses are still in Windsor. Long story.
Wasn't there a police-lady who was part of your Club? She always promised to drop by, but I doubt that Shetland is on her beat!
Well, well, well!

Nah! It's Terrie (Goaliemom) who remembered your name! My sieve started leaking some decades ago .... Well, you're all welcome to visit if you ever get to Shetland. These Yanks of mine keep promising .... but only Zenrider will turn up! Don't expect too many ponies up here, though! We have one famous one, called Socks, who went viral recently. Nice to speak to you. I've forgotten where you live? Goals, someone should alert ClaireLV that there's a new Brit invasion!! Jenny - avoid Niaru - she's French! (Just kidding, ma cherie!)

He's a very handsome boy, Jenny and tall! I'm rubbish at Photobucket, but I'll ask Zen to post some pix of my boys from last time she came riding with me in Windsor! (Oh and some pix of her boys, too!) Although I do worry about her. Rumour has it that she's trading her horses in on a fish called 'The Omen'.. Just between we Brits, we should never have let them have Independence....
