Pinto dressage horses look weird to me, but he certainly is FLASHY!

Yeah, it just seems like that horse should be decked out in Western tack. But he is actually a WB, so maybe he doesn't have the right build for cool reining and cutting moves. Poor little guy.

Very nice! I love the 1st canter pic and the last trot pic. Didn't your SIL have a huge horse before? This one looks like a much better match for her! Is he of the Art Deco line? (Pinto WB) If so, I am definitely jealous! MTA while looking for Art Deco pictures I found out that he died just 2 days ago! RIP. www.eurodressage.com/equestrian/2013/02/27/art-deco-passed-away

Claire, she still has the really big gray horse. I have no idea this one's pedigree. He sure looks like he could be an Art Deco descendant. I'm guessing it's not a huge pool of pinto WBs.

So pretty! And as the new, proud owner of a loud Paint, I hope that he doesn't look too weird in the dressage ring.

he sure is handsome.... is he gaited ?

I don't think he's gaited. Manchado ( Out of Holland x Plane ) 2003 KWPN gelding pinto. I guess that means he's a Dutch warmblood with spots.

haha, no Kelly I don't mean HE looks weird doing dressage - he's obviously very good! I just mean that Pintos don't look like any dressage horse that you see NORMALLY. Kind of like Knabstruppers doing dressage make you go "HUH???" They just look like leopard appies out there! But they are actually warmbloods and very talented at dressage!

Lol! I know what you mean Smay. I'm hoping Gunner's loud coloring will distract the judge from his average dressage ability. ;D

My new horse, Miles, is by a loud pinto Dutch WB who is half brother to Art Deco (both are by Samber). Miles is 100% plain bay. Not one white hair. Dam was a plain bay TB, so I guess he takes after her!
Lovely horse your SIL has!
