I have been working on this for several weeks now with Jackie from Dreaming of Three Charities. We have Special Horses Inc (Ted the Peep Ho) involved as well as other sponsors and guests. Still a lot of planning going on but we are now taking applicants for the show. If anyone knows any good barrel racing trainers please pass the info along. All the documents are right on the website. Things are starting to come together for this event! We have all the applications in and the selection process will start soon. We have all three judges selected for the freestyle round (one barrel racer, one natural horsemanship trainer and one eventer). and we also have two demo riders...one doing a dressage demo and one doing a jumping demo (both on two of my former racers!). We are having a BBQ before the whole thing starts....a band will play throughout the night and after the show. We have a live painting demo going on by a Maryland equine artist...a 50/50 raffle....all kinds of fun things planned for the evening! So now we are putting together an online auction to help raise funds for the show and for Bright Futures Farm. We have several items being added to the website for the auction but we need more! The auction begins March 11th and ends March 17th. If you have anything you can donate (doesn't need to be horse related...or can be a service) please email a photo and info to wendin@specialhorses.org (Ted the Peep Ho on COTH) at Special Horses Org. I donated a copy of the $80 champion that is signed by Henry DeLeyer....it is packaged with a painting of Snowman that is by the artist who will be painting the night of the show.
